Devils up 2-0 after two periods of play

Zach Parise picked up a second period score to make it a 2-0 lead for the Devils when he flipped a puck at B’s goalie Tim Thomas, and then watched as the shot pinballed off the goalie and ended up in the back of the net.
The B’s have had three power plays through the first 40 minutes of hockey, but haven’t been able to do anything with them. Andrew Ference leads the team with four shots on net and has been able to get his slap shot through traffic to the net, but former Boston College goalie Scott Clemmensen has been impressive in making 19 saves thus far.
