My dad is in Boston for games 3 + 4 and last night had a BOSTON fan shove his fingers in his throat just because he was wearing a burrows jersey, this kid was 16 and with his father, otherwise a fight would’ve ensued. Don’t be too sure…the Bruins are a terrific road team, and lost both of the first games by only 1 goal, which means they could have gone either way. And, well, we know what happened in game 3!!! Does Lucic play with an edge yes, but at least he attacks people to their face and when challenged to a fight; he stands up for himself. Scott Stevens was a great player and he was awesome at lining people up LEGALLY, which is why Scott Stevens was a one of a kind hitter. Aaron Rome is no where close to the talent that Stevens was, Rome is just a punk.

The hit on Horton was way too LATE, it would have been a penalty and a suspension five years ago or twenty years ago. The refs called INTERFERENCE and INTENT TO INJURE which have both been rules in the book since before I was born in 1985. The new head shot rule instituted last year was not used because Rome hit Horton from the side and was not back checking on the hit. You are just a moron and did not look into the actual ruling on the hit made by the NHL, your comment is unfounded and stupid. Horton should not have been looking for the hit, he was looking for the return pass from Lucic because it was so long after he passed the puck, that it made no sense for him to be looking for the hit.

lucic is no saint himself, that hit on spacek was classless as was the hit chara laid out to pacioretty. as for rome’s hit, i thought is was a bit late, suspendable, one game, not 4, the hit was almost identical to stevens hit on kariya 2003 (and stevens i do recall got no games). as for the hooligans in boston, the heckling, finger pointing and name calling i think are all acceptable, however what i don’t find acceptable is the racial slurs hurled at some vancouver fans in boston. the vancouver fans that showed disrepect to lucic’s family should have appologized and been thrown out, that’s no way to treat a local family who help raise milan, remember he played his heart out when playing for the vancouver giants. bottom line, fans on both sides should show more respect and class.

Yea Aaron Romes hit was kinda bad, it was not anywhere near the worst. It was late, but there was no way he was intending to injure like he did. Not only that but he’s had a clean history with no suspensions, and having an concussion on himself with no suspension. Alex Burrows was the guy boing the biting and, as a Bruins fan, I would have bitten a guy giving me a face wash with a glove on too. Try sticking your hands through the face mask of a football player in a pile, they routinely do things like that.
