Adam McQuaid still not skating 04.18.12 at 4:36 pm ET
By DJ Bean

ARLINGTON, Va. – Adam McQuaid still isn’t skating, Bruins coach Claude Julien said Wednesday. The defenseman did not travel with the team to D.C., though the team still considers him day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

McQuaid originally suffered his injury on March 29 in a game against the Capitals. A hit from Jason Chimera behind the net left McQuaid with a cut around his eye that swelled and kept him out of action until April 5. He played in only seven minutes that game before leaving in the second period. The team began calling his injury an upper-body injury prior to the playoffs.

Man this is way worse than I thought by watching it- not that I know anything about it- but from the comfort of my living room and what we heard in the immediate aftermath it didn’t sound so serious

  • Bsfan

yeah…would really like to see him back soon.

  • bospofan

Definitely would be a huge boost to see him back! … Zanon has been good, but Mcquaid adds a lot to the D.. been taking on a larger roll,  could really use him!

kind of lucky Corvo has stepped up in his absence, but would love his grit back!

We need him Corvo is scary! Every time I see his # panic set’s in. Hope he gets better soon his health comes first.

I think the Bruins should take care of Chimera, this guy is baaaaaaaad, he’s dirty

Hopefully McQuaid will be okay and come back when he CAN.

sounds like they are covering up a concussion…screw getting back at alzner, they need to target chimera.

I’m with you buddy – definitely covering up a concussion. Why else would he not skate today with an eye injury??? Good thing chiarelli stocked up on D at deadline.

I hope he is good to go soon, as we need him on the line, all the guys are doing great, but his size and strength are much needed, and on a different note, Claude, put Thornton on the power play in front of the net, PLZZZZZZ
